If you’re running into debt problems, where can you go for help?

The local Citizens Advice Bureau is a great place to get free advice and sometimes the counselling and help offered will be enough to get you back on the right track.  If not, you may consider consulting a lawyer or an insolvency practitioner, but lawyers who specialise in debt management are usually found only in the larger law practices and charge on an hourly basis so whatever they do increases your debt.  Insolvency practitioners are responsible to the Court for the final proposal and are obliged to act in the interests of your creditors.  You’ll be relieved to hear that our debt service has only one focus – you!

Our experts contact all the companies to whom you owe money and negotiate a substantially reduced monthly payment schedule.  This will have the immediate effect of taking the pressure off your cash flow. Credit card companies usually accept these negotiations because their view is that to be repaid part of the loan money is better than getting nothing at all (which would be the case if you were to be declared bankrupt).

We reduce the amount you owe…AGAIN!

Around 9 to 24 months after the first negotiations have taken place, our experts will contact the same companies again in order to negotiate a ‘one off’ payment to completely clear your outstanding loans. This offer is usually a small % of the total outstanding debt and our highly experienced consultants have specialised in this tactic for almost 10 years.

What else do I need to know about eliminating my debt?

• Our consultants keep you fully informed of your financial situation on a regular basis whilst you are making repayments to the loan company.
• During the initial negotiation process with the creditors the payments are calculated by first determining how much you can afford to pay per month –  the decision is not made by your creditors.
• Once agreements are in place the pro-rata payments are paid only once a month directly to your creditors, we never handle clients’ funds.
• There are no fixed terms to our debt management programme because our experience has shown that people’s situations change. You may find that you can pay back more…or less…of the debt than originally agreed.  If so, just let us know and we’ll contact the loan companies on your behalf.
